OUR HEALING TOOLS

Based on the practitioner’s diagnosis, a treatment plan for your visit can include one or more of our healing tools.

OUR HEALING TOOLS

Acupuncture has been used for over 2000 years alleviate pain and relieve symptoms of illness. The practitioner strategically places hair-thin needles based on the meridian system, the practitioner’s road map of the body. Illness can occur when the Qi (energy) along the meridian system becomes blocked. When needles are placed along these meridians, Qi flows stimulated, opening the gateway to the body’s healing process.

Acupressure is a needle-less alternative to acupuncture. It is a technique in which the practitioner presses on specific acupoints based on the meridian system.

Chi Organ Massage is based on the art of Chi Nei Tsang. External influences and emotions can affect the harmony between our thoughts, feelings, and actions. This can lead to stagnation of Qi in our internal organs. Chi Organ Massage helps to restore a balance, thus regulating our body’s systems (including respiratory, circulatory, digestive and reproductive). During the massage, the practitioner may also incorporate visualization and breathing exercises to aid in relaxation of the internal organs.

Chinese Herbal Remedies In addition to hands on tools of healing the body, Traditional Chinese Medicine can include herbal remedies to aid healing. The practitioner
will formulate and provide you with a personalized blend of herbs to be taken at home.

Tui Na Massage Generally used for relieving conditions causing pain of the muscles or spine, Tui Na incorporates a series of techniques including tapping, pressing and kneading using the fingertips, palm and knuckles. Sessions generally last approximately one hour and include a discussion of symptoms and examination.
